- The objective of this work was to produce novel degradable copolymers, test their hydrolytic degradation and cytotoxicity. This paper is significant because it successfully demonstrated novel methods for formation of graft copolymers. It also described detailed structure characterisation of novel copolymers as well as their degradation products, which is very important in the case of polymers used as biomaterials.
