- Merging sketched diagrams, that have been drawn informally on a tablet using a stylus-pen, with diagrams that have been drawn formally, using both traditional keyboard and mouse interactions, is the key to providing intelligent diagram creation systems. This paper is significant because it presents an intelligent software system allowing users to create and edit diagrams in sketch or formal modes while maintaining syntactical consistency between the diagrams.
