- The production of this book required sustained research for more than three years. This 90,000 word monograph concludes a trilogy on creative memory in everyday life. It is based on a large-scale analysis of the mediation of everyday memory funded by The Leverhulme Trust. It comprised over 100 qualitative interviews (including the new method of self-interviewing developed during the project), over one hundred responses generated through a new Mass Observation call, and considerable archival research over four months in the Mass Observation Archives.
