- The GMPR data compression-encryption methods are funded by Sheffield Hallam’s IAB-Innovation Advisory Board and led to awarded patents deriving from International Patent Application PCT/GB2016/050512) and commercial trials at DCO AI Inc, Arizona, US. The methods are designed to keep local server and clod data safe giving users unmatched control of their data security while providing significant savings in storage space and bandwidth requirements. The paper describes a significant IP extension to protect 3D data as there is no competing method in existence. This represents significant new IP increasing the commercial appeal of the technologies.
