- Catharine Rossi’s Crafting Design in Italy (2015) originated in AHRC supported doctoral research (2008-2011). Rossi undertook research in the UK, USA and Italy, including conducting over 17 interviews with architects and crafts practitioners. Rossi reviewed every issue of Casabella and Domus (1940s to 1980s) and consulted archives, libraries and collections including Brooklyn Museum, MoMA, the National Art Library, the CoID, Manchester Art Gallery, the Politecnico di Milano, and the Triennale di Milano, and those of individuals and organisations including Gio Ponti, Alfredo Barbini and the Selettiva di Cantù. Rossi also consulted English and Italian secondary literature from multiple disciplines.
