- Gaia DR2 paper from Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC) of ~450 scientists, describing first results from the mission science products. Co-authorship is governed by strict rules on contribution. Barstow has been a key member of DPAC since it began in 2006, leading the Leicester contribution to the project, modelling the instrument PSF and the effects of the inevitable cumulative radiation damage to the CCDs. The contribution to the paper from this work is the required photometric and astrometric precision essential for the scientific results. Barstow contributed to reviewing and refining the paper.
