- This research work is attributed towards establishing digital twin framework for CNC manufacturing (Cyber-physical systems) resources. The research work is significant, because it provided different use case scenarios, and presented current challenges in establishing digital twin for CNC manufacturing resources. The impact of this on mainstream manufacturing industry is potentially significant as it enables a true realisation of information (cyber) interoperability within CNC manufacture. This use case has been considered as a scope for drafting ISO 23247, and presented by NIST collaborator at ISO TC 184 Toulouse meeting (4/5 May 2019) in order to outline scope of the standard.
