- XPL is a formalisation of the work developed by Clark in the XModeler toolkit that was originally developed as a commercial product and used by companies including BAE Systems, BT, and CitiBank. The tool subsequently became open-source and is currently developed in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Duisburg-Essen where it is available via https://www.wi-inf.uni-duisburg-essen.de/LE4MM/downloads/. XModeler (https://arxiv.org/pdf/1505.00149.pdf) has been used by the modelling community as part of the UML 2.0 standard.
