- This is the first study to explore and analyse the medieval accounting records of Durham Cathedral Priory, one of the outstanding collections of medieval material surviving from a single institution within Europe. It moves beyond the traditional focus of accounting historians on manorial compoti to examine a network of non-manorial accounts, and a range of accounting forms beyond the charge and discharge statement. It thus makes a significant contribution to the historiography and will be of interest to medieval historians and to accounting and economic historians.
