This 344-page book is the principal output of a major, six-year international research project, funded by the British Academy the Leverhulme Trust, and the Holocaust Educational Foundation. It draws upon substantial oral history work and archives in the USA, Canada, Israel, and the UK. As such it demonstrates sustained research effort and the analysis of large body of material in a complex piece of research.
