- This book examines the trajectory of contemporary Montenegrin political history, with a distinct focus on the period between the disintegration of the Yugoslav state in 1992, through the re-establishment of Montenegro’s independence in 2006 and the country’s path towards NATO membership in 2017. The book is 110,000 words long and is the culmination of five years of research during which Montenegrin state and newspaper archives (such as Dan, Pobjeda, Vreme, Vijesti, Politika, Borba, Naša Borba and Monitor) were consulted in archives in both Montenegro and Serbia.
