- This work is carried through a global partnership supported by multiple funding platforms including the Natural Science Foundation of the Jiangsu China and MSCA-RISE-Marie-Skłodowska. The cross-layer work on multi-hop cognitive radio networks (MCRNs) has resulted in findings, that are now being partially used as a basis to contribute to the IEEE 1932.1 Standard working group, to which the corresponding author is a member. The IEEE 1932.1 WG is working on a standard that is needed to enable interoperability among devices designed for licensed and unlicensed frequency spectrum, including WiFi and LTE devices, which currently there are no such mechanisms.
