- This was the first study of social media user engagement to involve a complete snapshot of a social network. The snapshot used from the aNobii platform, popular among book lovers, involved around 80,000 users at the time the paper was written. The paper presented new guidelines and recommendations on how social platforms such as aNobii can facilitate different user activities, including joining groups, tagging, and constructing wish lists.
It presented the novel idea of creating different profiles for different types of behaviours in a social network context.
