- Double-weighted statement
- This book explores the discursive and linguistic practices taking place online and the discursive strategies used to codify a non-sexual community as heterosexual; This monograph meets the criteria for double-weighting in that it is a longer form of output and an extended and complex piece of research which uses a large and naturally-occurring set of unique sex-talk data to make complex arguments about the language of desire. The research is complex and in-depth as it spans different perspectives including linguistics, sociology, gender studies, and media and communication studies in order to examine the topic of sex-talk in considerable detail.
