- This paper impacts the state of the art by proposing an efficient analysis-by-synthesis spatial audio coding algorithm that improves the immersive experience significantly for many applications, such as live broadcasting, gaming, and other audio services, on mobile devices. Huawei are now partnering with Loughborough to develop this work for 5G immersive voice and audio service coding standard under a joint research and development agreement funded by Huawei Technology Co. Ltd. (Contract Project Manager, huawei.com).
