- This paper experimentally and theoretically analyses the system capacity achievable with a 60GHz Leaky Wave Antenna (LWA) and radio-over-fibre feeder network. The approach offers significant potential cost-savings for future system deployments compared to complex antenna units with large numbers of radio-frequency/millimeter-wave components. This work has contributed to invited presentations at the Asia Communications and Photonics conference (doi:10.1364/ACPC.2017.Su4E.1) and IEEE Microwave Photonics workshop in 2017.
