- This work contributes strategies for the deployment of wireless sensor networks (WSN) incorporating mechanisms to guarantee timely and reliable data delivery. WSNs capable of supporting guarantees are essential for the implementation of industrial IoT applications. A core contribution of this work is a detailed evaluation of the proposed methods in a real-world industrial setting. The work is well known in the academic community and has been used as a reference point for further improvements of industrial IoT protocols and deployment mechanisms. The work was published in TOSN, considered the most prominent journal in the WSN research community.
