- Stefano Evangelista was jointly responsible with his co-editor Elisa Bizzotto for the editing of Arthur Symons: Poet, Critic, Vagabond. He came up with the original idea to dedicate an edited volume to Symons focusing on his contribution as cultural mediator, building on Evangelista's ongoing work on comparative approaches to the literature of the turn of the twentieth century. The edited volume is part of Evangelista's larger effort to create a new critical understanding of Symons, reflected also in two critical editions of Symons's works - respectively poems (2017), and fictional prose (2017) - that he commissioned as series editor of the Jewelled Tortoise Series, part of the Critical Texts Series of the Modern Humanities Research Association. The preparation for the volume included extensive archival work on Symons, including in Princeton University Library, to identify directions and gaps in the existing literature. Evangelista was solely responsible for putting together the team of contributors, approaching leading experts in the field. Evangelista and Bizzotto jointly obtained competitive funding from Venice University (Fa' Foscari / IUAV), with which they ran a mid-project workshop. Evangelista contributed an original chapter to the volume and co-wrote the introduction with Bizzotto. He arranged peer-review for each chapter and provided comments, often on multiple drafts, as well as taking care, again jointly with Bizzotto, of the editing of each chapter.
