- This monograph is the result of 10 years’ works and is around 120,000 words in length. The research associated with this output was especially complex in that it necessitated examination of a very wide range of primary sources and extensive body of material. It involved thorough archival research and the analysis of over 1,300 handwritten papers which had not been previously studied. It also comprises work across several disciplines and languages, including philosophy, anthropology, geology as well as French, German, and Italian literatures.
