- This book explores the relationships between the schooling experiences and outcomes of Black children, systems of teacher education, education policy and longstanding educational inequity. It is immersed in rich empirical data from five national research studies conducted in England in several case study schools. Through extensive analyses and theorisation, the book provides critical insight into the implications of the research findings for education policy and the role teacher education should play in preparing student teachers to develop culturally relevant knowledge and implement race equity teacher practice to make a positive difference to the educational experiences and outcomes of Black students.
