- This 128 page journal article presents multi-component, NIHR-funded research led by Evans with a UWE research team including Davies and Powell. It compares key regularities of context, mechanism and outcome associated with effective public involvement in research, tracking the impact of public involvement from multiple perspectives and diverse contexts in health and social care. Data collection included 88 interviews from 42 participants across eight case studies from researchers, research managers, third-sector partners and members of the public involved in research, providing critical insight and argument for revised theory of how public involvement works, for whom and in what circumstances.
