- This research was carried out in collaboration with SIEMENS (contact: Dr. Mike Mallett, michael.mallett@siemens-healthineers.com) and led to a Semi-plenary lecture invitation (delivered by first author) in the 2016 European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (2000+ attendees). The paper was assessed by the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) and contributed to the second author being awarded best PhD thesis in Europe (https://www.eccomas.org/2018/01/25/2016-phd-awards/) and a Fellowship (£150,000) under the Sêr Cymru National Research Network.
