- Bamford identified the underlying scientific questions on which the paper is based and contributed to several aspects of its content and presentation. As Co-PI of the project (MegaMorph), on which the 1st, 3rd and 4th authors were employed as PDRAs, Bamford closely supervised the analysis, edited the text, and created several of the figures. Bamford also led the development of the methodology on which the paper is based and wrote a significant fraction of the analysis software. Furthermore, as Co-PI of GAMA, he contributed significantly to producing the parent dataset used in this paper.
