- Double-weighted statement
- This 480 pp. monograph was the result of seven years of research, including visits to historical archives across the Netherlands, and five -months spent reading sources in archives in Amsterdam and Kampen in 2017. It covers Dutch social history throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, and required extensive reading of Dutch sources covering that period comprehensively, including. newspapers, unpublished, untranslated handwritten manuscripts, letters, and diaries; and entailed a considerable amount of Dutch-to-English translation work.
