- Double-weighted statement
- This single-authored volume is the main output from Young’s British Academy MCF and a synthesis of two research projects directed by her in Iran (2007-2011) and Oman (2012-2015). It thus represents major original fieldwork and considerable work on analysis and interpretation. It draws together the results of archaeological excavation, standing buildings survey, and oral interviews in a unique approach to the recent past and heritage in the Middle East, and is the first book to cover historical archaeology and heritage in either Iran or Oman.
