- This paper combines data from the ground-based KECK Array and BICEP2 telescopes with data from the ESA Planck Satellite. All three instruments rely on optical and thermal filtering which I designed and which were manufactured and tested at Cardiff under my supervision. The KECK refit for 95 GHz (page 2), involved the design and provision of an optimised filter chain which is not reported elsewhere. The addition of this band facilitated better identification of the multicomponent signals, thus providing the tightest constraint at that time on the inflationary gravitational wave signal.
