- This fundamental research proposed and demonstrated a novel approach to simulate the initial stages of arterial stenosis development, based on the haemodynamic characteristics of the pulsatile blood flow through the artery. The key novelty lies in the stenosis development being based on the physical characteristics of the local blood flow. This work has influenced studies by Wang et al., Comput. Math.
