- Regulatory Crisis is a research monograph based on extensive research. It began in 2010 when sabbatical leave was used to develop the work conceptually and methodologically. Five in-depth case studies were researched 2011-15. Data were collected before, during and after each crisis including press coverage of the selected crises which in some cases ran for over a decade; an examination of publicly available documents relating to the regulators; and primary data including interviews and an examination of regulatory documents. Comparative analysis of the five cases and drafting the monograph took a further two years.
