- Since its publication this paper has been used in over 20 fundamental and applied research projects world-wide that focused on fluid-solid interactions in blast response (e.g. University of Manchester; Royal Military Academy, Belgium; Czech Technical University; Military Academy, Portugal; Beijing Institute of Technology, National University of Defence Technology, China). Partly funded by Lloyd׳s Register Foundation (LRF). The application of the results enables engineers to find an appropriate sacrificial cladding to protect structures against explosions and extreme loading.
