- This anthology was co-edited by the attributed individual and a co-editor, now of the University of the Highlands and Islands and then of Ulster University. The attributed individual proposed the project to the co-editor, and over a period of some 4-5 years they collaborated on the editing and translation of the texts. The attributed individual was responsible for identifying the majority of the poems (roughly 80%) and took the lead on the translations while the co-editor led on the editing of the Gaelic texts; they did, however, share these different responsibilities. The attributed individual wrote the English language introduction and the co-editor wrote the Gaelic one (although they edited each other’s contributions). The attributed individual pitched the book to the Gaelic Books Council for funding and support, and then oversaw the publication process with Luath Press in Edinburgh.
