- This article has presented the first intelligent decision support system for Leukaemia diagnosis that uses microscopic blood images. This multi-disciplinary research was conducted with collaboration across four sites in multiple countries and was funded by the EU cLINK grant (2645). The article drew attention of researchers who have adopted and improved the proposed framework further (e.g., Vogado et al, 2018, 10.1016/j.engappai.2018.04.024; Rawat et al, 2017, 10.1007/s11042-017-4478-3). Preliminary work received the Best Paper award at the 8th International Conference SKIMA2014.
