- The concept described in the paper motivated an event on electricity grid inertia on 18/12/2017 run at University of Nottingham and co-sponsored by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)- (see https://www.era.ac.uk/write/MediaUploads/Other%20documents/Talk_1_-_EPRI_-_Grid_Inertia_Fundamental_Concepts_and_the_Developing_Landscape.pdf). Delegates included representatives from National Grid, EDF, Gyrotricity, SynchroStor, Reactive-Technologies, Power-Continuity and others. The event is now set to run annually.
