- This new method separates and quantifies plastic damage and residual stress whilst controlling size effects (microstructure, indentation size). Enabling high-resolution, non-destructive stress and damage mapping of joints, welds, additively manufactured materials; Also the small volume measurement capability essential for irradiated/machined/coated/surface-engineered components.
