- The paper received an honourable mention (top 5%) at CHI 2015. The paper led to two conference workshops at CHIPLAY, and a collaborative relationship with Elisa Mekler from the Aalto University in Finland (as evidenced by two further publications), which have explored different aspects of serious experience in games. In addition, it informed an internal project (2018-2019) awarded by University of York (£14800), which developed and evaluated a persuasive game that would support students reflecting on their work-life balance.
