- Double-weighted statement
- This 256-page book is the product of two decades of research. It contributes to the discussion of memory studies in contemporary Spain by providing a comprehensive review of the country's troubled past as it continues to be relevant to present day crises. It closely follows the theorisation and scholarship produced in the field of Iberian literary and cultural studies around the legacy of the Spanish Civil War, the Franco dictatorship and the period of political transformation called the Transición to detect a discursive impasse that is fueling Spain's recent populist movements and social protests.
