- A new closed-loop reciprocity calibration method for massive MIMO is proposed in this paper which can support online calibration with a higher accuracy compared to the existing methods. An optimized relative calibration is introduced using the same structure of traditional relative calibration, but with less impaired hardware in the reference radio chain. An experiment setup is built for evaluation. The method stated in the paper has been successfully applied into Viavi solutions new product of 5G test solution (Dr. Li-Ke Huang, Viavi Solutions). This paper led directly to the EU H2020 5GPPP Internet of Radio Light project(https://5g-ppp.eu/iorl/).
