- An output of a Newton Fund project (no. 172734213, £300k, 2014-16). This research deals with both pallet-loading and time-window constraints associated with the optimisation of vehicle-routing in a ports setting, to make academic algorithms applicable in real-world situations. The research was chosen by the British Council as their best case study, highlighting the research’s influence on practice, policy and engagement in Vietnam (https://goo.gl/vNv4dN). The research also received extensive media attention including the national TV news (https://goo.gl/MmPS3m), the Newton Fund programme https://goo.gl/eYBV1Z, the British Embassy in Hanoi https://goo.gl/uavPfP, and the British Council http://tiny.cc/IL_success_story.
