- Particle filter techniques are investigated as an efficient localization approach to deliver good accuracy and precision in dense passive high frequency RFID tag environments. Major contributions on: 1) A four-position feature-based system model to apply the particle filter technique in a dense passive HF RFID environment for achieving high accuracy. 2) A feature adjustment scheme to improve the features regarding the estimation of the moving direction of the object. 3) A new particle filter algorithm with a feature adjustment for improving localization precision for a given accuracy. This work laid the foundation towards IOT and smart city applications.
