- Double-weighted statement
- This is a scholarly edition by RIDGEON which we present as double-weighted. It consists of c.100 pages of introduction, followed by the text, with a further c.25 pages of notes on that text. It is extremely impressive in scale and range as a piece of scholarship, and, in terms of the criterion of research input, qualifies for double-weighting.

- Additional information
- Statement on overlap: chapter 3 of this monograph (24 pages) contains substantial overlap with an article by Ridgeon submitted to 2012 ('The Controversy of Shaykh Awḥad al-Dīn Kirmānī and Handsome, Moon-Faced Youths: A Case Study of Shāhid-Bāzī in Medieval Sufism, Journal of Sufi Studies 1.1 (2012), 3-30). Elements of the article have been recast to reflect the monograph's focus specifically on Awḥad al-Dīn Kirmānī rather than medieval Sufism per se.
