- Forging a British World of Trade was researched with the support of an AHRC Fellowship, which included 18 months of research leave. The book which is 90,000 words long explores the rise and decline of British World trade networks between the 1880s and 1970s. The book draws heavily on new research including extensive archival research in eight countries. The research time involved was significantly more than that of two journal articles.
