- This paper optimizes power control in cell-free massive MIMO systems, applicable to “Fog-RAN” for 5G and beyond. It allows user throughput increases up to three times compared with prior methods. Citation data shows the influence of the work in the development of this discipline. The work led to an invited keynote presentation at the 4th International CorNer Workshop on Networked Smart Cities (Bologna, September 2018), and an invitation to present at the IWPC Workshop on “RAN Connectivity and Architectural Decomposition”, 2019, iwpc.org, sponsored by BT (Contact: Senior Engineer, BT).
