- The work links Computer Aided Geometric Design and Numerical Simulation. It shows the approach can deal with complicated problems, such as rectangular and circular functionally graded microplates with various boundary conditions, leading to significant reduction in the approximation error and computational time compared with traditional finite element methods. As of September/October 2018, this paper received enough citations to place it in the top 1% of its academic field based on a highly cited threshold for the field and publication year (Clarivate Analytics).
