Prólogo y notas de Gustavo San Román : An edition of Rodó's regular columns to the Buenos Aires weekly Caras y Caretas and its monthly supplement, Plus Ultra, first published, in part, posthumously in 1918; and, for the first time in full, his private diaries, his travel diary, and his health diary, whose manuscripts are kept at the National Library of Uruguay. The edition also contains a 72 page prologue; a 500-word biographical note; a 2500-word editorial criteria note; as well as extensive footnotes and annotations.
