- Double-weighted statement
- This single-authored book took over a year to research and write while the author was on full-time study leave. It drew on a combination of teaching material and research findings from work carried out over the last ten years or more. This was complemented by analysis of literature in areas which were relatively new to the author such as mental health policy and environmental health policy. It encompasses a substantive, up- to- date sociological analysis of policy covering an extensive range of health service and public health topics in eight chapters including policies adopted more globally providing a comparative perspective.
