- The proposed new optimisation algorithm (volcano eruption algorithm) has been presented for the first time as a new strategy for solving optimisation problems utilising the inspiration of the nature of volcano eruption. The algorithm has been implemented so that it can be widely used in solving large-size problems with diverse dimensionality. The code was published on https://github.com/eghbal11/Eghbal/blob/master/VEA.m for accessibility and to solve multidisciplinary problems. The algorithm has been visited by 157 across the globe since its publication in June 2020, and Severn Solutions UK (https://www.severn-solutions.co.uk/) is trialling the potential adoption in their product for large scale engineering job scheduling algorithm.
