- This paper has led to several prestigious awards: The IACM (International Association Computational Mechanics) Fellowship and SEMNI-Zienkiewicz Prize for research trajectory to Bonet; The ECCOMAS Zienkiwicz Award to Gil and the ACME-UK and ECCOMAS Best PhD Thesis in 2016 to Ortigosa. It has introduced a new notation in large solid mechanics which has been adopted by other authors leading to advances in many related topics.
