- Additional information
- The book builds partly on two publications submitted to REF2014 (‘Against the Stream’ 2010 and ‘Reversal of Female Power’ 2013). However, the book has significantly revised, updated and expanded on those publications (based on further fieldwork, interviews, textual analyses, and archival work), and elements have been incorporated into chapters 2, 3 and 4 to form approximately 20% of the book’s content. The remaining 80 % of the book is the result of hitherto unpublished work and significantly revised or expanded materials from other publications (see the book's front matter page), none of which were submitted to REF 2014.
