- This work explores a new perspective on probabilistic computation. It presents the first satisfactory probabilistic lambda-calculus since appearance of such calculi 1978 that has the confluence property, one of the most important properties of lambda-calculi as models of computation. The work has important implications for the theory and practice of computational effects in lambda-calculus, a major area of computer science.
