- This study confirmed the finding of a proportional intervertebral motion biomarker for chronic back pain by replication using a separate patient cohort. It also identified the effects of previous spinal surgery on its values. It led to a keynote presentation on the “Individualised assessment of aberrant intervertebral mechanics” by Prof Breen at the Imaging Workshop of the Cardiff Institute for Tissue Engineering and Repair, Cardiff University, in January 2018. Since publication in 2018 it has had 2,887 accesses, 8 citations and has an Altmetric score of 32.
