- PDSAFE is the largest randomised controlled trial of falls prevention for people with Parkinson's in the world and developed and delivered by an interdisciplinary and international team. The study was funded by NIHR and comprised a substantive body of work including the main trial, a process evaluation and an economic evaluation, each of which are included in this monograph. Goodwin was a grant holder, designed the study and the PDSAFE intervention and was responsible for data interpretation and critical reviewing. The study built on two previous, smaller trials, one led by Goodwin.
